Margaret Wright joined Atticus Law Group as a Senior Associate in 2024. A native of Jackson, Mississippi, she graduated summa cum laude and in the top 5% of her class from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as Executive Articles Editor of the Mississippi Law Journal and was elected to the Law School Student Body Executive Board. During law school, Ms. Wright volunteered with the Mississippi Innocence Project, where she worked to exonerate persons wrongfully convicted of crimes.
After moving to Los Angeles, Ms. Wright represented employers for years in the nationally-ranked Labor & Employment group of one of the largest firms in California. In 2021, she dedicated her career to helping employees suffering from discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination. She has since obtained millions in compensation for her clients who have been harmed in the workplace. In 2022, Ms. Wright successfully argued Malloy v. Superior Court (2022) 83 Cal.App.5th 543, a key Court of Appeal decision establishing rights for remote employees in California.
Ms. Wright spends her time between Los Angeles and Mexico City and is (almost) fluent in Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys baking, watching movies, and cheering on the Dodgers and the New Orleans Saints. She is also a momager to her movie star senior golden retriever, Chuy (also fluent in Spanish).
